It was actually easier than I thought it would be (that part bothered me too!) I just put my cake server into the top by the barbie pick & sliced down. I had to cut several slices @ once in order to get the slices out though. It actually wasn't bad & a thinner slice worked out nicely since it was such a tall cake.<br /><br />Good luck w/ yours!
